Who are we?
We are a group of concerned Ann Arbor citizens. Many of us live in neighborhoods that have been selected for installation of sidewalks as part of Ann Arbor’s Sidewalk Gap Elimination Initiative. While we are not opposed to sidewalks, we have serious concerns about how sidewalks have been installed on some streets in the city. Specifically, we are concerned about reduction in the tree canopy and the resulting environmental consequences. These consequences are unacceptable.
